Confronting Idolatry

1. Idolatry blinds us to the truth. (Acts 17:22-23)

* Matthew 6:24 - You cannot serve two masters.

* How do you know if you have an idol?

* On what do you spend your thoughts, time, and money on?

* The greatest tendency is to idolize "me."

2. Idolatry replaces the Creator with the created. (Acts 17:24-27)

* Your idol may be what you're counting on to bring you happiness.

3. Idolatry must end in repentance. (Acts 17:30-31)

* Do you have a relationship with Christ?

* Matthew 7:21ff - Will you say "Lord, Lord" to Jesus and suffer for eternity?
